Radio Show Line-up

The Interview: Rachna Choudhry

Chief Marketing Officer of PopVox.com

Rachna Choudhry is responsible for our outreach to advocacy organizations and trade associations, marketing to individual users and assists with outreach to Congressional staff. She is based in Washington, DC. Rachna comes to POPVOX with a background in federal lobbying, issue advocacy and social media strategy for a variety of national issue-based and advocacy organizations. She earned a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Political Science degree from UCLA.

POPVOX bridges the gap between the input the public wants to provide and the information Members of Congress want and need to receive.

Constituent communications are flooding and overwhelming Congressional offices. POPVOX verifies, aggregates, and simplifies communication with Congress on an open and trusted (and nonpartisan) common ground. Advocacy organizations, trade associations, unions and other groups send their members to POPVOX to take action on bills pending before Congress. Congressional staff and lawmakers log into POPVOX to measure the pulse of their district. POPVOX provides a curating interface for anyone — including Congressional staff, the public and the media — to access and understand the voice of the people.

It’s Foreign to Me: With Hotshot (HotShotPerformer.comThis week our fiasco commentator at large . . .

This week our roving radical, johnny, takes a shot at the slippery slope concept because christian conservatives aren’t taking it far enough. The defense

of marriage act, abortion, gun control. He’s sick and tired of all this picking and choosing what they want to get righteous about. It is foreign to me

how we can allow humans to run government.

PICTURE THIS: chatting up corners of the world (ArmandThomas.com)  Armand Thomas and Will Roberts Will talk about and view shots Armand took in New Caledonia.

New Caledonia is seldom mentioned as a travel hot-spot, but it’s location, history and culture make it a great off-beat destination.

Off the northeast coast of Australia, this French protectorate became a penal colony in the late 1800s (just as the English sent their convicts to Australia).

Then came a boom in mining and a mild rise in tourism — compared to Tahiti, for instance — that left this colorful archipelago relatively quiet.

Most of the drama in the past half-century has been the political undertow for independence from France.

The multi-ethnic population is divided, voting no several years ago. But another referendum will take place in the next 5 years.

I Know A Conservative : Tim Devaney is a national reporter at The Washington Times based in D.C., where he covers business and the economy. In his spare time, he also jokes about the news coming out of Capitol Hill.  We will talk about:

Zero Dark Thirty – In theaters January 11

Tim had a passion for journalism from a young age. As a kid, his neighbor called him the “Question Boy,” because he never stopped asking. His curiosity led him to report for newspapers such as The Washington Times, Detroit News, and Portland Press Herald in Maine. Recently, he’s been writing about the fiscal cliff and the European financial crisis. His stories can be found at www.washingtontimes.com.

When he’s not writing serious news, you can find his political comedy at www.thegoofypress.com, where Tim offers his funny, sarcastic, not-so-serious take on news of the day. Look for his jokes about the fiscal cliff, Chick-fil-A, Twinkies, Ho Ho’s, David Patraeus and Benghazi.
